What attempts are made to locate owners?

• Prior to 120 days before the holder of property that is presumed abandoned files the report the holder shall send a written notice to the apparent owner that states that the holder is in possession of property.
• Once the property is reported:
  • The State will publish owners' names in the newspaper.
  • Make Internet access available.
  • Utilize staff members in an effort to ultimately reunite owners with their property.
