What is the process for making a claim?
Fill out a claim form and mail it to:

- Once the Unclaimed Property Unit receives your claim, you will first receive an acknowledgment.
- We then check the validity of the claim, requesting additional information, if necessary.
- Finally, we make every effort to ensure that your claim will receive a decision and if you are the owner of the property in question it is returned or you receive your check as soon as possible.
- The Unit receives over 35,000 claims per year, but the time it takes to process a claim should not exceed 90 day.
